Regional Director, UK&I, WorkSmart

The WorkSmart Regional Director is accountable for sales, proposition development, customer relationships, overseeing project delivery and the Workday relationship within a defined region - in this case, UK&I.

This role sits within the Workday Services leadership team with accountability for sales performance, customer relationships, overseeing project delivery and Workday relationship within a defined region. The Regional Director will be responsible for leading sales and customer engagement teams to deliver the Sales Order Value and Customer Initiatives set out in the business plan. The Regional Director and their team will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer to accurately forecast demand, increase margin, develop propositions and manage customer escalations.

  • Sales Order Value (SOV) - Accountable for delivery of the Sales Order Value in the region and supporting pipeline. Will work with the operations team to accurately forecast sales and develop clear closure plans. Will work to maximise sales where appropriate.
  • Local Workday Relationship - Accountable for the management of the local Workday relationship to ensure Kainos is recognised as the leading boutique partner in the region. Will develop joint go to market strategies and plan combined quarterly business reviews.
  • Local Market Activity - Works with the BU marketing team to develop a marketing strategy and plan for the region to support delivery of the Sales Order Value, Kainos WorkSmart brand objectives and build of the Workday relationship.
  • Proposition Development - Responsible for working with the Head of Capability to develop competitive propositions for the local market. Accountable for agreeing on rates for the local market with Chief Operating Officer. Owns competitive intelligence and strategies to address Kainos shortcomings.
  • Local Customer Base - Accountable for the relationship with new and existing customers. Works with engagement teams during P1 delivery to manage customer expectations and satisfaction. Works with the Head of Customer success post P1 delivery to build long-term and high-value relationships.
  • Project Delivery - Accountable for overseeing all project delivery in the region. Will work with Client Directors, Engagement Managers and central operations to ensure customer success. Will be senior point of escalation for customers in the region. Will be ultimately accountable for project delivery to agreed margins.
  • Management of local Sales / Engagement Team - Accountable for management and development of local sales / engagement teams (Client Director(s), Account Manager(s)). Works with Chief Operating Officer and People support to develop these individuals.
  • Local Office Management - Where appropriate, the regional director will have operational responsibility for the local office. This involves working with the Operations teams to deal with property, finance, legal and people issues.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Broad and deep HCM functional experience
  • Business Development or Sales Leader in a HR or Consulting Organisation
  • Extensive experience within an implementation environment
  • Considerable project management experience within Workday or ERP projects
  • Strong Project delivery skills
  • Sale of initial and follow-on consulting & implementation services
  • Developing and maintaining customer relationships
  • Coaching and mentoring consultants
  • Supporting growth of Kainos and its culture
  • Shows effective written and verbal communication both internal & external
  • Comfortable with public speaking
  • Comfortable with a dynamic and ambiguous environment.
